Therapy dogs, the growing rage

You probably might have only seen it in TV till now, but therapy dogs are becoming a rage in the recent time, especially in the western countries. They can easily be spotted in hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, etc. The basic idea behind therapy dogs is that they cuddle with you and provide comfort and unconditional love. Since they are extremely friendly and adorable, they help in relieving stress significantly.

There have been cases recently at few international airports, such as, Newark, where travellers could de-stress themselves in the holiday season with some adorable therapy dogs, made especially available for them.

Technically, some people even refer to them as ‘Pawfessionals’. Though they are a part of therapy, they are also given the required rest, food, good living, and a lot of love.
