Best Love Triangles in Bollywood movies

We all love movies because they have helped us go through some tough times. Some love it for the plot, and some love it because you could relate yourself with it. The latter is one trait that Bollywood has been using to give us a more wonderful experience. Bollywood does it by offering us movies about heartbreaks, friendship and love triangles. While there are thousands of movies about heartbreaks and friendship, there are only dozens when it comes to love triangle relationships. After watching, Manmarziyaan this weekend, I embarked on a journey to find some of the best love triangles that one can find in the history of this mega film industry called Bollywood. Today, we are listing down some of the best love triangles that Bollywood has to offer.

Manmarziyaan: This is the latest one on the list. Manmarziyaan movie is not just another love triangle movie, it is much more than that. Though the crux of the movie is a love triangle, unlike the others on this list, this movie speaks to today’s generation. It does not try to sugar coat but instead helps us take a gander at today’s love life, and we can bet that it’s as real as it gets. Apart from a great edge-of-the-seat plotline, it also has some amazing cast and crew which Includes Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and the latest sensation Vicky Kaushal. Manmarziyaan also has one of the best composition coming from Amit Trivedi which adds an extra dose of zeal to the movie. You have to check this movie out on ZEE5.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: Karan Johar is known for making emotionally driven movies, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is no exception. This movie has two love triangles, one between Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and the other one between Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol which also helps it stand out from the rest in the list. Unless you have been living under the rock, you must have watched this movie at least once. If you have not, then you must check this one out. Also, rumour has it that Karan is planning for a sequel of this ever-green movie and even hinted at some of the cast and crew.

Devdas (1955): When you hear of the word Devdas, the first thing that hits your mind is the legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan. But we can’t blame you for that because only the few cinephile or movie enthusiasts among us would know that the 2002 movie Devdas is actually the third Hindi adaptation of a 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel of the same name. Although the 2002 movie is good, I, being a devotee of classic movies, still prefer the old classic one that came out in 1955. We all know that it is a love triangle between Devdas, Paro and Chandramukhi. Despite the movie being this old, you still can’t complete this movie without shedding some tears.

Gangster: It is not easy to make life decisions especially when it comes to a relationship. As rightly said by a wise man, the hardest choice takes the strongest will, and this movie is a proper example of this. In  Gangster, Simran (Kangana Ranaut) is pushed to a situation where she has to choose between her ex-lover Daya who is also a gangster and her current lover Akash who is a singer. This romantic thriller is must watch just for Kangana’s performance alone.

Bollywood has changed it’s approach towards this complicated yet realistic relationship over the years and its very evident from the movie listed above. But one thing is for sure, this makes for a perfect spicy romantic movie, and we wish to see a new one very soon.
