Looking at food through the fantasy glass in Mumbai

Mumbai is the city of dreams, dreams that come alive through cinema, art, music, fashion and even food. For a true foodie, good food is something that touches all the right senses. You eat with your eyes first as they say, and when lip-smacking food is served in an ambiance that is nothing short of a fantasy world, then, it transports you to a state of complete Zen. We bring to you some of the whacky and queer restaurants and hotels in Mumbai that take food fantasy to a different level altogether.

Bhaijaanz- Food ala ‘Bhai’style

The décor, the name and the menu at Bhaijaanz, on Carter Road, speaks only one language;Salman Khan, the famous Bollywood actor who is lovingly called Bhaijaan by his ardent fans. Their quirky menu has dishes that have been named after the titles of his popular movies. Salman Khan gets an almost God-like reverence from his fans and five such fans decided to start this eatery. This restaurant serves eclectic dishes named after the superstar and you can see names like “Anda Apna Apna”, “Salaam e Sandwich”, “Chicken Tussi Great Ho”, “Chulbul Chawal", and “Mutton Deewana Mastana". Youcan relish your meal in the company of the superstar whose movie posters adorn the walls and the place celebrating his life’s work through the interiors. Even if you are not a Bhai Fan, a trip to the restaurant is a must, to see the aura of Bollywood mixed with food.
