Different varieties of Bald animals that are weird yet cute

Baldness among us humans might be common, but animals are not very far behind. Do you know that animals too suffer from alopecia? Some animals are born bald, a few are genetically mutated or have genetic disorders. Some look pitiful while certain others look scary, weird, but yet cute.

Today we will discuss about some animals who are born bald but still look cute in a weird way. Do you remember Mr Bigglesworth, the hairless bunny who became a social media sensation? We are talking about that weird but cute. So, let’s begin-

  • Peruvian Inca Orchid: Peruvian Inca Orchid is the official dog of Peru. The most interesting aspect of this dog is its hairless body. A slim and graceful dog with a long snout and friendly nature, Peruvian Inca Orchid is smart and protective towards women and children. You cannot refrain but love it.
  • Bald Uakari: Uakari is a member of the primate family. They live in the Amazon basin and Peru. These have a furry coat on the body, but their head is bald. Four types of Bald Uakari have been identified until now. The Red Uakari with the crimson coloured face is the most unique among them.
  • Skinny Pig: Skinny pig sounds like a pig on diet but it is actually a breed of Guinea Pig. Originated from Canada, these rodents have hairless bodies. They only have fur on their feet, legs and muzzles.
  • Sphynx Cat: Have you seen this movie called “Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore”, where a hairless cat vows to destroy humanity and rule over the world? The cat breed is called Sphynx Cat. They were created by selective breeding. The loss of hair is the cause of genetic mutation. This breed is considered as exotic by cat lovers. Also, it is one of the most expensive breeds.
  • Hairless Rats: After hairless cats come hairless rats. Pet lovers have a soft spot for them. Contrary to popular belief, hairless rats are actually cute. There are various types of hairless rats- some sport bald patches on their skins, a few have fur on their feet and muzzles while certain others are just like Sphynx cats- completely hairless. They are also referred as exotic pets.
  • Babirusa: Babirusa, also known as the deer-pig, is basically a breed of wild pigs. They are natives of Indonesia. Babirusa is basically an average-sized pig with a hairless body and sabre teeth. The appearance sure is scary, but they don’t usually hurt humans. The Babirusa is declared as an endangered animal by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Depending on your choice, these animals might look plain ugly or extremely adorable to you. But we cannot deny that these animals are rare and should be well protected.
