History
The idea for Games24x7 came to the founders when they noticed the lack of a dedicated online gaming platform in India. The founders had a passion for online games and they wanted to provide a world-class online gaming experience to users in India. Games24x7 was launched subsequently in 2006.
The first major milestone came in 2009 when RummyCircle was launched. In 2015, the company launched U Games. By 2017, the company had added more than 15 million players on its platform. As of now, total number of users has crossed 100 million.
Funding
Games 24x7 has received investments worth $93 million via two rounds of funding. Some of the key investors include Tiger Global, Malabar Investment and Raine Group. The latest round of funding was in March 2022, worth $75 million. With the latest round of funding, the company's valuation has touched $2.5 billion. With this, Games24x7 has joined the coveted Unicorn club. The company will be using the funds to add more users as well as to develop and launch more games.
Acquisitions
Games 24x7 has not made any acquisition in recent times. However, it has invested in Cricheroes, a digital player-focused platform that targets grassroots cricket ecosystem. The investment was made in August 2018.

Games 24x7 competes with other online gaming platforms such as Mobile Premier League (MPL), Dream11, HalaPlay, FanFight, Cricnwin, BalleBaazi, Indus Games and WinZO.
About the Founders
Games 24x7 was founded by Trivikraman Thampy and Bhavin Pandya. Thampy currently serves as the CEO at Games24x7. He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and had done his PhD in Economics from New York University. From an Aerospace engineer to an economist, Thampy eventually found his real passion in gaming.
Co-founder Bhavin Pandya has studied at Purdue University from where he completed his electrical engineering. He later did an MA in Economics from New York University. Prior to launching Games24x7, he had worked at General Electric Healthcare as an intern and teaching instructor at New York University.
