Despite global uncertainties, the India IPO scene has been registering strong momentum in recent months
In the first half of CY2026, IPO activity in India was relatively subdued. Around Rs 30,000 crore was raised via IPOs in the first half. However, IPO activity has accelerated significantly since June. In the July-August period, around Rs 50,000 crore has already been raised via IPOs. This momentum is expected to increase further during the festive season. Annual IPO fundraising is projected around Rs 2.5 lakh crore, which will be a new record. Upcoming IPO options
Jio Platforms IPO (Reliance Jio) - This is expected to be the biggest IPO of 2026. It could even be the biggest IPO ever in India. As per estimates, Jio IPO will raise around Rs 37,700 crore via a fresh issue of up to 27 crore shares. SEBI has given its approval for Jio IPO. The company is expected to launch the IPO around Diwali in October this year. Investors are eagerly waiting for this IPO. However, since the Jio IPO is expected to be highly oversubscribed, investors may get a limited allotment of shares.
NSE IPO (National Stock Exchange of India) - This is another large sized IPO, with a target to collect around Rs 30,000 crore. NSE IPO is also expected to be one of the largest ever in India. It is expected to open for subscription by September end. This will be a pure OFS IPO and no fresh capital will be generated. NSE is India's largest stock exchange by volume. In addition to retail investors, leading institutional investors are also expected to bid aggressively for NSE IPO.
PhonePe IPO - This will be one of the largest IPOs in the fintech and startup domain. As per estimates, PhonePe will aim to collect around Rs 12,000 crore. As of now, PhonePe IPO is being evaluated by SEBI. An exact launch timeline has not been revealed. PhonePe is backed by Walmart and is among the leading digital payments and fintech platforms. It has witnessed strong growth in UPI and financial services.
Zepto IPO - One of India's leading quick commerce platforms, Zepto is aiming to collect around Rs 11,000 crore via its IPO. The DRHP has been filed and estimated launch date is H2 CY2026. Zepto operates in a highly competitive environment with multiple rivals such as Flipkart Minutes, Amazon Now, BigBasket, Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.
OYO IPO - A leading hospitality brand, OYO is aiming to collect around Rs 6,650 crore via its IPO. This IPO is currently being evaluated by SEBI. If things go as planned, OYO IPO could debut later this year. OYO is a tech-enabled hospitality player and benefits from a regular incoming cash flow.
