The music industry experiences creativity of popular composer Sandeep Patil aka Sandman time and again. While his work always gets appreciation and love; he has been a visionary too. While everyone dreams of prestigious Clio and D&AD this composer already has these beauties in his kitty.
In a quick chat with us, Sandman shares his feelings on bagging Clio, he says, “The experience of winning in the Original Music Score category is truly surreal! The dedication and creativity invested in this project, ranging from the remarkable clay work animation by Suresh Eriyat and the Eeksaurus team to the diverse musical compositions we created, not to mention the finely crafted sound design by Resul Pookutty, have undeniably yielded success.”
Sandeep has been the man behind the music in several advertisements. And he is a huge name in this industry too. Winning D&AD a special award in this industry, Patil talks, “Bagging an award in advertising, especially one as prestigious as the Clio, feels like a dream turned reality. I couldn't help but recall Don Draper winning a Clio on MAD MEN, emphasizing just how significant this achievement is. Dreams do come true, and I'm immensely grateful to Suresh and Nilima from Eeksaurus Productions for bringing me on board for this project. I'm absolutely stoked.”
“The D&AD award adds another feather to the cap. Being shortlisted and then winning is pure happiness. The recognition at such a high level, in a field that boasts immense talent and competition in design, advertising, craft, and production, is not just an honor but also incredibly humbling,” he adds.
Sandeep’s work went to Cannes, and got appreciated globally. Sharing about this, he says, “Cannes, being one of the most prominent awards globally, acknowledges outstanding talent. To be nominated among hundreds of entries is a huge deal. Having always admired Cannes and its glamorous red carpet, I used to think I'd have to create something truly spectacular to be appreciated on that stage. And lo and behold, a couple of years later, getting nominated for Original Score for our film "Jsw Always Around" is a surreal reality, evoking a profound sense of pride and appreciation.”
He has worked on films like A Wednesday, Jab We Met and Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, RGV’s Rakht Charitra; he moved into the webspace with Fittrat, Batmeez Dil and Broken But Beautiful. Creating advertisements for some top and people’s favourite brands, his tracks became a overall hit.
